STORYLINE STARTING THREAD
The sun had begun to reach towards the top of the sky, casting its warm rays upon the confused group of people gathering in the streets. More people were coming out from their homes, to see what the commotion was.
Ron Sedds was in the center of road, hollering at the top of his lungs, "And they tell us to stay home while they protect us? What the hell are we children? No! No! No! Like hell their telling us to stay home, like hell their telling us to stay calm! If there's someone out there murdering in our town I think we ought to be able to do something about it!" Sedds was a big man. Big mouth, big gut. He rubbed a thick hand over his balding head, then continued on with his speech, "I say fuck them! Let the police do their patrol and let us do ours! I don't know about all of you but I have a gun and I have the right to use it in defense. I'd say hunting a murderer down is good enough defense." Most of the men in the crowd nodded and voiced their agreement, a few of the women did too though most looked worriedly at their husbands and sons.
"Your gonna get people hurt Ron, you and that ego of yours. The police said they can handle it and I'd like to believe them." Samantha Sedds crossed her arms firmly as she stepped in front of her overweight husband, "You know damn rights what happened last time you and that gun went out hunting, couldn't even catch a fucking bird much less a person!" Her wrinkled face furrowed angrily as she spat out her words. Her floral nightgown fluttered faintly in the breeze and she wrapped herself tighter in her blue robe.
Mr. Sedds rolled his eyes, "Samantha I told you to stay home," he knew as soon as the words left his mouth the mistake he made. "Stay home? Stay home? You fucking kidding me? Here you are hollering and spitting about how pissed you are that the police are wanting you to stay home and here you are telling me to? The hell is wrong with you!" her skinny cheek bones were now deep red with anger, the people nearest to her and Ron took a step back.
"Now, now Miss S'mantha you know well that Ron's just looking out for ya," This time it was an older man that spoke. Mrs. Sedds shot him a glare that could have killed a large moose. Ron ignored them both and took a look around at the crowd, "I say we grab our own weapons and go out for our own search, if any of you here have the balls to join me you are more than welcome to voice your agreement now."
